Always You
the moon lingers above
a silent witness to the world’s turning
its pale light spills across rooftops
floods the ocean’s skin
rests on the edges of shadowed trees
I see it in the stillness of a pond
in the gleam of glass after rain
it follows me through city streets
its presence quiet yet insistent
like a memory I cannot set down
you are the moon
in the vastness of the sky
you remain steady
your light finding me
even when clouds try to hide you
each night it changes
a sliver
a crescent
a bold face
but always there
always watching
always you

I think a lot of your work would make for great bed time reading to children
Wonderful!
