Days Without You
the hours stretch empty as the hollow sky aching with the absence of your voice
the sun drags its light across the floor unwelcome a pale reminder of what warmth used to mean
the silence grows teeth gnawing at the edges of my resolve I reach for memories but they dissolve slipping like water through fractured hands
time is cruel its weight unbearable in your absence the clock mocks with its steady march while I remain here rooted in longing
I wonder if the world notices if it feels the hole you’ve left behind or if I am alone in this quiet unraveling even the stars seem farther away tonight their light dimmed by the shadow of these days without you

Silence, and the feeling of solitude, is part of the illusion of this writing. I like it.
The world does notice because the entire universe was created in the first 90 seconds from absolute nothingness. Thus, everything in the universe was connected in the first moments; and is related from thence.
